CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was rushed to Chicago hospital after being shot on the city's Southwest Side on Labor Day, police said.

The shooting happened on Monday at about 11:20 a.m. in the 2600 block of S. Kolin Avenue, Chicago police said.
A 48-year-old man was outside when someone approached him and started shooting.
The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.
Nobody is in custody.
