WESTMINSTER, Colo. (KSNW) -- Authorities say a Colorado man tried to run over his ex-girlfriend's mom and intentionally crashed into two homes.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday in Westminster, Colorado, a Denver suburb. Westminster Police say that he intentionally rammed his SUV into the home of his ex-girlfriend’s mother and fled.

A short time later, he intentionally crashed into another home that police say appears to have no connection to his ex-girlfriend or family. Police say the man then tried several times to run over his ex-girlfriend's mother before crashing into her home again.

Neighbors intervened and held the man until police arrived. No one was hurt, and both homes were structurally assessed to determine if they were still safe to enter.
