WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police are investigating an inmate death at the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex.

KSP says 34-year-old Robert Broyles was found unresponsive in his cell during morning count at around 8:50 a.m.

They say life-saving measures were attempted as he was taken to ARH Hospital in Morgan County.

Broyles was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

KSP says foul play is suspected, but this is subject to change as the investigation is ongoing.
