CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A man will serve seven years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter for a man’s 2003 death.
The plea agreement Robert Stewart accepted dropped the murder charge, according to Hamilton County court records.
Stewart was looking at possible life in prison if he was found guilty of murder, former Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers said previously.
In October 2023 , Stewart was indicted for the Feb. 15, 2003, murder of Herman Brown.
On Feb. 15, 2003, Cincinnati police responded to the 2500 block of Sarvis Court for a wellness check.
Powers said the 911 caller told dispatchers that a strong odor was coming from the apartment.
