DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Gov. Tim Walz is expected to attend and speak at the annual Labor Day picnic on Monday, Sept. 1, at Bayfront Festival Park.
The event, hosted by the Duluth Central Labor Body, runs from noon to 4 p.m.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar is also scheduled to attend and is expected to speak at 12:30 p.m.
Other labor-endorsed candidates and elected officials will be in attendance, including Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and U.S. Rep. Angie Craig.
The event will feature live music from local performers, a bounce house, raffles, and other family-friendly activities.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Attendees are encouraged to bring school supplies to donate to local organizations that support students in need.
