Netflix has big plans for Bridgerton . Before season 4 had even aired, the streamer had already renewed the series for seasons 5 and 6, with more likely on the way (if Shonda Rhimes gets her way anyway !). We can now confirm that production on Season 5 is currently scheduled to begin in Spring 2026, according to a new listing by Production Intelligence.

Based on the best-selling novels by Julia Quinn, Regency-era drama Bridgerton is one of the jewels in the crown of Netflix’s success. The show’s 8-episode fourth season wrapped up filming in June 2025 and is set to debut in 2026 (no release date has been confirmed yet). Given this filming update, we suspect it’ll be sometime in the Spring, but no confirmation as of yet.
