LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Two people charged in an Interstate 65 road rage incident that left a young girl paralyzed have had their trial delayed.
In July 2023, Jonathan River, Edward Sark, and Shelby Bisconer were riding with a group of motorcyclists on I-65 when they got into an altercation with an SUV.
Police said the group fired multiple shots at the SUV, with one bullet hitting Onyx Sands, who was 6 at the time.
The shooting left Sands paralyzed from the waist down.
Police said the bullet that hit and paralyzed Sands was fired by Sark.
Rivera pleaded guilty to five counts of wanton endangerment in August. He is expected to receive five years of probation when sentenced in October.
Sark and Bisconer were supposed to stand trial on Tuesday, but their trial was moved to April 14, 2026.
