Denver police are searching for a motorist involved in a hit-and-run crash that ended up killing a bicyclist over the weekend.

The crash occurred early morning Saturday near West 14th Avenue and North Yates Street, according to a Denver Police Department post on social media platform X.

On Saturday, the bicyclist was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Police announced on Sunday night the bicyclist had died in the hospital.

The hit-and-run investigation remains ongoing.
