EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people needed to be extricated from vehicles following a two-vehicle crash in the vicinity of 236 School Street in East Hartford on Monday, according to police.

Police said two people were injured and went to an area hospital, but did not disclose the severity of the injuries.

Police said School Street was closed and the accident reconstruction team was investigating the scene.
