Montana State’s run game — averaging about 300 yards per game since 2021 — was virtually nonexistent Saturday at Oregon.
The Bobcats finished with 46 total yards and a touchdown on the ground. Head coach Brent Vigen chalked that up partly to Oregon’s talented defensive front — featuring defensive lineman A’Mauri Washington and linebacker Matayo Uiagalelei — and MSU’s inability to execute early.
“It's getting off the ball in a loud environment, it's being able to communicate,” Vigen said Monday. “It's being able to see what's in front of you and make those really quick determinations against really quick players.”
