(Gray News) - A $1.1 billion jackpot is up for grabs as Powerball draws the winning lottery numbers to cap off Labor Day.

The winning numbers from Monday night’s drawing are 8, 23, 25, 40, 53 and a Powerball of 5.

Any player who matches all six numbers will claim a $1.1 billion jackpot. They will have the choice of receiving the full prize amount in 29 annual payments or a lump sum payment estimated at $498.4 million.

The $1.1 billion prize is the fifth-largest in lottery history, according to Powerball .

The jackpot was last won on May 31 in California. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
