A Warwickshire jiu-jitsu athlete said it was an 'absolute honour' to be selected for the new series of The Great British Bake Off . Toby Littlewood will be trying to impress the judges as the Channel 4 show kicks off tonight (September 2).

Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will be casting their discerning eyes over the creations from 12 new bakers and are joined by Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding. Toby, from Warwickshire , is among the hopefuls this year and described his time on the show as 'insane.'

Toby, 29, was raised in Sidmouth, Devon, with his three siblings but recently moved to Warwickshire . He lives with his girlfriend Syd and dog Bex and is three years into his 'six-month' home renovation project.
