New Idaho law expands sales tax to services starting October 1

IDAHO - Beginning October 1, a new Idaho law will require sales tax collection on several services across the state.

Senate Bill 5814 expands sales tax to include services such as IT support, temporary staffing, custom websites, and advertising.

The law also removes some previous exemptions on digital services.

State officials plan to release guidance later this month to assist businesses in navigating these changes.
