Former AquaSox catcher Harry Ford is headed to The Show.
Seattle Mariners general manager Justin Hollander announced that Ford, who played the AquaSox in 2023, has been called up from Triple-A Tacoma to join the major league club as rosters expanded to 28 players on Sept. 1. Right-handed pitcher Luke Jackson and infielder Leo Rivas have also been called up from Tacoma.
Pitcher Sauryn Lao was designated for assignment, and infielder Donovan Solano was released from the roster.
The Mariners 40-man roster remains full at 40 players and Seattle’s 28-man active roster is now at 27 players. Victor Robles, who is serving a seven-game suspension for a bat-throwing incident while with Tacoma, would be the 28th player.
Ford, 22, will make his Major League debut when he first appears in a game. I
