True story −

I was driving south on Walnut Street in Bloomington recently on a Thursday morning when a car passed by me on the left, an older Oldsmobile station wagon, sky blue.

As sometimes is the case, I changed lanes, got behind the car and followed. "Please pull over soon because I don't have time to drive to Smithville," I said aloud to myself.

I did once follow a car that far, nearly 8 miles down Ind. 37 and onto rural roads.

But when I spotted that Olds station wagon, it was 10:45 and I had to be somewhere at 11.
