WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – Two motorcyclists were seriously injured Monday evening in a three-vehicle crash in rural Woodford County.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Dennis Tipsword said that a preliminary investigation showed a pair of motorcycles and a car were involved in the crash on State Rt. 26, a few miles north of Spring Bay around 5:30 p.m. on Labor Day.

According to a release, three southbound motorcycles were riding together on Rt. 26 at the time of the crash. Tipsword said one of them crossed the center line for an unknown reason and hit a Toyota Highlander that was going the opposite direction.

One of the motorcyclists was thrown from the bike and sustained critical injuries. They were taken by Life Flight to a Peoria hospital in critical condition.
