Emergency service crews have issued an update after a fire at a Warwickshire block of flats on Saturday evening (30 August). Fire and ambulance personnel, as well as police officers, attended the scene on Leamington's Newland Road shortly before 8pm.

Warwickshire Police told residents of the incident at the time, urging people to steer clear to avoid hindering emergency services dealing with it.

Both fire and ambulance services have since issued updates on the incident.

A spokesman for Warwickshire County Council said: "Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS) was alerted at 19:50 on Saturday, 30 August, to reports of a fire at a fifth-floor flat in Lillington, Leamington Spa .
