Atlantic wave likely to develop later this week

EASTERN TROPICAL ATLANTIC:

A tropical wave located over the far eastern tropical Atlantic, just south of the Cabo Verde Islands, is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Advertisement

Environmental conditions are favorable for gradual development, and a tropical depression is likely to form later this week or over the weekend.

This system is moving west to west-northwest at about 15 mph across the eastern and central Atlantic.
