CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) -- The final wave of students in the region, including Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County and Accomack County, will be headed back to class Tuesday morning.
10 On Your Side's Michael Rinker was at Crestwood Elementary School in Chesapeake Tuesday morning, where students got to see the new campus for the school.
According to officials, the new building for the elementary school will now house more students, expanding to a K-5 school. It will also feature a redesigned cafeteria and classrooms.
For the district overall, with the latest start to the school year in the region, students will finish out their school year on June 16. Students will also get three days off for Thanksgiving, 10 days for winter break and six days for spring break.
