Virginia officials released new information on the death of former U.S. attorney Jessica Aber, who was found in a home in Alexandria in March.
Aber’s death was natural, and its cause was “sudden unexpected death in epilepsy,” the medical examiner’s office told News4 on Tuesday.
Aber, the former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, was found dead on Beverly Drive on March 22. She was 43. Her family previously said she suffered from epilepsy and died in her sleep.
Aber was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District starting in 2009. She served on a detailed assignment as counsel to the assistant attorney general for the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice in 2015 and 2016. She then served as the deputy chief of the Eastern District’s criminal division. Sh
