A third person was charged Friday, Aug. 29, in a Cranberry Township wallet theft when two Florida women and a man attempted to purchase $5,000 in electronics, police said.
Diego Ricardo Popa, 19, who didn’t have an address listed in the affidavit, was charged with one felony count each of dealing in unlawful funds, access device fraud and conspiracy to commit access device fraud, and two misdemeanor counts of theft following the Aug. 14 incident.
Oana Romana Dumitru, 43, and Andreia Dunca, 20, both of Orlando, Fla., were previously charged in the incident. Police said while the two woman distracted a couple in the Walmart cosmetic section, Popa allegedly unzipped a woman’s backpack in her shopping cart and removed a wallet.
The wallet contained an American Airlines advantage credit card
