A 42-year-old Edmonton man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a woman found dead in an SUV just west of downtown on Saturday morning.

The Edmonton Police Service says the victim has been identified as 39-year-old Priscilla McGreer. An autopsy Monday determined she was the victim of homicide, and that she died of gunshot wounds.

Authorities say the accused and victim knew each other.

Officers were called to 119 Street and Jasper Avenue around 4:36 a.m., after reports of gunshots, and found McGreer dead inside the vehicle.

Kyle Laumen has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and breach of probation. The charges have not been tested in court.
