Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is out of the hospital after he was injured in a crash on Interstate 93 in New Hampshire on Saturday, his driver confirmed Tuesday morning.

Theodore Goodman, who was driving the car Giuliani was in, said the former mayor was progressing well and recovering from his injuries, which include broken bones. The crash took place after Giuliani had been flagged by a woman involved in a domestic violence incident, for which he called 911.

"The mayor would like to thank the New Hampshire State Police, paramedics, Elliot Hospital, and all the physicians and nurses who provided incredible care," Goodman said Tuesday.
