DULUTH — People from all walks of life enjoyed a hot dog, corn on the cob, a bag of chips and a cold soda while they listened to Minnesota’s political leaders speak.
Several hundred people attended and enjoyed a free meal while hearing from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and several other political figures Monday afternoon at Bayfront Festival Park.
Walz spoke extensively about how he believes organized labor is pivotal to American success. Whether it was the Social Security Act, Medicaid or the Affordable Care Act, organized labor, in his eyes, has been the foundation of monumental legislation.
