SALT LAKE CITY — A fire affecting the roadway has shut down a portion of the U.S. 6, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Lt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol tells KSL TV that Eastbound U.S. 6 is closed at the Thistle Junction, and Westbound U.S. 6 was closed on the Price side of Soldier Summit, but has reopened.
According to a post from Utah Fire Info on X, the fire, known as the Long Hollow Fire, is estimated to be 20 acres in size, located on private land.
The agency stated that multiple ground and air resources are being deployed to combat the spread.
A cause for the fire was not immediately given.
