As lawmakers returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday, they were met by several groups of protesters.

News4 spoke with groups from Union Station on the Hill.

“Free DC” and “Shut down ICE,” signs held by protesters said.

The group FLARE, For Liberation and Resistance Everywhere, showed up to demand the release of the Epstein files, one volunteer said.

“It’s really a privilege to be here to petition your government for redresses, and that’s what we’re doing,” he said.

In a bipartisan effort, Reps. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) are seeking to making government files on Jeffrey Epstein public.

Women dressed as handmaids from “The Handmaid's Tale” also protested Tuesday morning.
