EVANSVILLE — A portion of northbound U.S. 41 will be closed overnight starting Sept. 9 for railroad repair, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
INDOT announced in a news release the closure will start on or around Sept. 9, just south of Lynch Road on U.S. 41. It will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The closure will be for repair of a railroad crossing on the northbound lanes of U.S. 41. Work will be complete in one night, weather dependent.
According to the Indiana State Police, the official detour will be Indiana 62 to Interstate 69 to Indiana 57. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.
