Showers and thunderstorms are heading toward Los Angeles County and other parts of Southern California Tuesday morning, bringing the possibility of strong winds, lightning, brief downpours and rapidly spread wildfires.
The storm threat comes at the start of a hot and humid day with temperatures well into the 90s and triple digits for some areas. Heat advisories remain in place for inland Orange county, the San Bernardino and Riverside county valleys, and parts of Los Angeles county.
