Two Florida pastors who were reportedly arrested while kneeling in prayer on a "Black History Matters" mural have responded by saying they could not "stand on the sidelines", according to Fox13News.
Reverend Andrew "Andy" Oliver and Minister Benedict Atherton-Zeman knelt to pray on top of the "Black History Matters" asphalt mural outside the Woodson African American Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Friday night, while Florida Department of Transportation workers were trying to cover it up, per the outlet.
The pastors were taken into custody and charged with obstruction, after officers told them repeatedly that they were putting themselves and workers at risk, according to Spectrum News.
