As Tigers add options, Jahmai Jones makes case to get the big at

Detroit ― In the home clubhouse Monday morning, shortly after Justyn-Henry Malloy arrived back at Comerica Park for the first time since early July, he exchanged smiles and some friendly banter with Jahmai Jones.

The two Tigers are seen, at least by the fans, as one in the same ― platoon players, who do, by far, their best work against left-handed pitchers. It remains to be seen how playing time will shake out down the stretch in the regular season and, most importantly, who earns a spot on the playoff roster.
