COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Authorities said a former basketball star for the South Carolina Gamecocks has been arrested.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 30-year-old Sindarius Thornwell was taken into custody on Tuesday. Thornwell is charged with second-degree domestic violence and unlawful conduct toward a child.
RCSD said the charges are linked to an incident on Aug. 12 on Glenn Village Road. The victim reportedly told deputies that Thornwell assaulted her while she was holding a child after an argument. The victim also claimed Thornwell threw a cup of water at them and struck them in the back of the head.
According to deputies, Thornwell denied hitting the victim but did admit to throwing a cup of water at them.
