A manhunt is underway to locate a robber who held up a frozen food store 'at gunpoint' in broad daylight.
Passers-by reported the man waved the gun in the air and fled with cash during the attack on Heron Foods in Brackley Street in Farnworth on Monday afternoon. Police were scrambled to the scene and the store was cordoned off as an investigation and manhunt was launched.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called to the scene at 4.38pm to reports that a man had used a weapon to rob a store
