A 21-year-old in Kentucky is facing charges in connection with the death of an infant.

Local perspective:

The Lexington Police Department said police were called the morning of Aug. 27 to a home in the 400 block of Park Avenue for an unresponsive infant.

When officers arrived, they found the baby, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

FOX19 Cincinnati said the arrest citation stated the baby’s body was found in a trash bag inside a closet. The outlet also reported the woman is a student at the University of Kentucky.
