OTTAWA — U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson is set to visit the Ottawa area this week for a meeting with officials from most G7 countries and Ukraine. The gathering will take place from Thursday to Saturday and is part of Canada’s G7 presidency.

Key topics on the agenda include online disinformation, political polarization, and violence against lawmakers. In a notable move, Canada has invited the chair of Ukraine’s parliament to participate.
