INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is making changes to its VIN inspection process starting Tuesday.

According to IMPD, the department will offer VIN, or vehicle identification number, inspections at roll call locations throughout the week instead of during patrols.

Residents, nonprofit or for-profit businesses are able to bring their respective printed BMV forms and vehicles to any IMPD roll call during the following dates and times for the free inspection:

Monday

7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southeast District, located at 1150 Shelby St.

Tuesday

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Southwest District, located at 551 King Ave.

Wednesday

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northwest District, located at 4005 Office Plaza Blvd.

Thursday

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the East District, locat
