PLAINFIELD – A 43-year-old Hancock man is dead after a crash between a car and a semi Aug. 29 in Waushara County.
According to a release from the Waushara County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened about 12:11 p.m. Aug. 29 at the intersection of Archer Avenue and Fifth Avenue in the town of Plainfield. An investigation found the car was driving east on Archer Avenue toward Fifth Avenue and didn't stop for the stop sign, according to the Sheriff's Office. The semi was traveling south on Fifth Avenue and hit the car after attempting to avoid the collision. The semi turned on its side, the Sheriff's Office said.
