Georgia football dealt with its share of injuries on the offensive line last season and two more from the unit, Juan Gaston and Earnest Greene, exited the season-opening win against Marshall with injuries and did not return.

Gaston, a true freshman who started at right guard, sustained a left ankle injury on Saturday, Aug. 30. He played 19 snaps in his college debut.

Greene, who started at right tackle, was bothered by “lower body stiffness,” coach Kirby Smart said after the game.

Smart said on Tuesday, Sept. 2, that he was hopeful to get both Gaston and Greene back Saturday. Gaston was injured on a 4th-and-1 play when quarterback Gunner Stockton scored on a 13-yard touchdown run after a Marshall player landed on Gaston's lower leg.
