Florida football moved up two spots to No. 15 15 in the US LBM Coaches Poll released on Sept. 2.

The Florida Gators (1-0) opened the 2025 season with a 55-0 win over FCS opponent Long Island at The Swamp, posting their first shutout since blanking Vanderbilt 42-0 on Oct. 9, 2021.

It was also UF's first season-opening win since beating Utah 29-26 on Sept. 3, 2022 at The Swamp.
