Andy Goldstein has called for Grimsby Town to be kicked out of the Carabao Cup after they fielded an ineligible player.

Defender Clarke Odur was registered 59 seconds after the deadline , and the League Two side have been fined £20,000.

He came on the pitch on 71 minutes before missing his penalty in the 12-11 shootout win for the Mariners.

After a 2-2 draw in normal time, Grimsby prevailed to seal one of the biggest wins of their history and dump Man United out of the Carabao Cup .

However, after breaking that specific rule, Goldstein thinks there should be some further punishment.
