We have seen this occur before with some of the world's top cruise lines. Cruise lines may inevitably announce unexpected schedule changes at the last minute. Norwegian Cruise Line was scrutinized over this in the past, announcing itinerary changes after final payment days.

In this case, Royal Caribbean made the announcement while the cruisers were on the ship, changing one of the most coveted destinations on the cruise. As expected, passengers were not pleased.

Royal Caribbean has well-known private island bans , such as Labadee, Haiti. However, this location is a safe spot and one that cruisers love to visit. It only added to the frustrations.

Additionally, a replacement area was not included, and the only stop proved underwhelming for many of the cruisers.
