Police have launched an urgent search to find a backpack, t-shirts and trainers in connection with the death of an elderly woman earlier this year.
Simon Carter, of no fixed address, will appear at Chester Crown Court on January 12 next year for a one-week murder trial. The trial relates to an investigation into the death of Gwyneth Carter, aged 72, at her home on Pearson Street in Macclesfield on July 16.
At around 6.48pm, police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman at her home. Paramedics attended and pronounced the pensioner dead at the scene.

Carter currently remains detained under the Mental Health Act, Cheshire Police confirmed.
