AUBURN, Ala. —
Auburn beat Baylor 38-24 on Friday night , a road win that head coach Hugh Freeze described as a "solid, solid effort" from the Tigers.
"We're grateful we could find a way to win against what I think is a very gritty, mature football team, and I hope they have a great year," said Freeze. "And I like Dave Aranda a lot. And I thought their kids were gritty and but when it was on the line, I mean, our, our offensive line leaned on them and we had that drive, the last one to put it away."
The game marked the Tigers' first true look at Jackson Arnold as their starting quarterback , who played for the Sooners the last two seasons. He scored two touchdowns and had 137 of Auburn’s 307 rushing yards.
