Chloe Malle has some fashionable shoes to fill after being named head of editorial content for Vogue U.S. on Sept. 2, replacing its iconic editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, who announced in June that she would be relinquishing some of her duties .

Malle, who had been serving as the editor of Vogue.com and co-hosts “The Run-Through with Vogue” podcast, is the only child of Candice Bergen and acclaimed late filmmaker Louis Malle. Her new job also kind of sort of features life imitating art: Bergen once played Vogue’s hypercritical editor-in-chief on “Sex and the City.”

Bergen, in fact, began her career as a model and appeared on the cover of Vogue multiple times.
