NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia-based Mid Atlantic Dairy Queen, LLC, doing business as Dairy Queen, has entered into conciliation agreements with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Tuesday to resolve two sexual harassment charges.
According to the federal agency, reasonable cause was found after the company reportedly violated federal anti-discrimination law by allowing two former employees to sexually harass multiple female workers from around July 2022 to Feb. 2023.
The harassers worked at the company’s Granby Street location in Norfolk and the Landstown location in Virginia Beach.
The EEOC says the former employees would make inappropriate sexual comments and engaged in unwelcome physical contact with the victims, some who were teenagers.
