YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A civil rights lawsuit has been filed in federal court by a Ursuline High School mother and her children against Ursuline administrators, coaches and some members of the high school football team and their parents.

A woman identified as Mother, along with Son and Daughter, are named as plaintiffs, while Ursuline High School Principal Matthew Sammartino, Assistant Principal Margaret Damore, head football coach Dan Reardon, assistant coaches Timothy McGlynn and Christian Syrianoudis are named as defendants, along with the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, 11 players and their parents.

The lawsuit alleges that the hazing of a soon-to-be freshman player and others took place on an out-of-state trip in June 2025 over several days when the players visited Florida, Alab
