TYLER, Texas — Both UT Health Tyler Hospital and UT Health East Texas Olympic Center on Beckham Ave. are off lockdown after police investigated a possible threat Tuesday afternoon.

Hospital and police officials both confirmed the UT Health East Texas

Police say officers and multiple agencies responded to the situation immediately. UT Health East Texas spokesperson Allison Pollan said the active shooter alarm went off.

Police said a man wearing green scrubs showed a gun on eighth floor of the Olympic Center and the active shooter alarm sounded. The suspect has not been found yet.

It's unknown if this man is an employee of the hospital or not.

Officers surveyed the floors of the Olympic Center and hospital before giving the clear and the lockdowns were lifted, police said.
