WASINGTON, D.C. - A federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was not wrong to freeze billions in funding and terminate contracts for "green bank" climate initiatives for non-profits, the Associated Press reported.
The court was split 2-1, with the majority ruling in favor of the Trump administration.
" Green banks are public, quasi-public, or nonprofit financing entities that leverage public and private capital to pursue goals for clean energy projects that reduce emissions," according to the EPA website.
