LINCOLN, Ill. (WAND) - The Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice will open its Monarch Youth Center in Lincoln this week.

The grand opening celebration will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, in the gymnasium of the multipurpose building.

The celebration will include remarks from IDJJ Acting Director Robert Vickery, Sen. Sally Turner and Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch.
