ATLANTIC CITY — Twenty-two couples said "I do," while others renewed their vows, during a group wedding ceremony Saturday in Brighton Park, city officials said.
Mayor Marty Small Sr. officiated the "Marry Me in AC" event. One couple renewed their vows in the exact same spot where they first wed 30 years ago, the city said Tuesday in a news release.
After the ceremony, the couples and their guests were invited to a paid reception at the Claridge Hotel.
The event was organized by the city’s Vital Statistics Office under the Health and Human Services Department and the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, with help from the city’s Public Information Office, Information Technology Department and Police Department.
