Carlos Alcaraz has admitted that he can't help but think about having the chance to reclaim the World No.1 spot at the US Open.

The Spanish sensation has reached the semi-finals in New York by comfortably beating Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-2, 6-4.

He is yet to drop a single set at the Grand Slam and he's now booked himself a spot in his ninth career major semi.

By doing so, Alcaraz still has a chance to reclaim the No.1 world ranking, which currently belongs to Jannik Sinner .

Sinner has held the title since June 2024, but he's got his rival and World No.2 breathing down his neck at the US Open .

The Italian must now reach the final at Flushing Meadows to keep his spot after Alcaraz reached the semis.
